A1: No the PIR does not have an override.

Q2: Does this light stay very dim when its dark then when it detects something come on bright
A2: The sensor switches the light on and off, there is no dimming facility built in to this light.

Q3: Where does the power cable enter the unit? Is it at the top of the back of the light, Or the bottom of the back of the light?
A3: According to the supplier the cable entry is near the bottom

Q4: Hi, Is the lantern body metal or plastic? Is the 'glass' actual glass or perspex?
A4: The body is made from metal and it has glass lenses
