Product Questions
Q1: Is this a heavythick glass, Thank you.
A1: Yes, this is heavy duty, thick glass.
Q2: Can this take a 100 watt bulb
A2: No, 60 watt Max providing your lamp holder is capable of 60 watts. Some lamp holders will be rated at 40w.
Q3: Can this shade be fitted using a screw tight type holder rather than a spring clip
A3: Unfortunately, the hole type is to large to be able to use a screw type shade retaining ring. it will need to be held in by a spring clip fitting.
Q4: You say the entry hole is 40mm. Is this the inside or outside of the hole
A4: The 40mm diameter refers to the diameter of the hole which allows the shade to sit over the lamp holder and the measurements are from the inner circle.
Q5: Size of hole for the cable / post?
A5: The hole is approximately 40mm.
Q6: Hello
is the glass frosted? We have bought the bulbs which are low energy led bulbs. 4w equivalent to 25w. We would be happy if we weren't able to see the bulb through the shade.
Thank you
A6: This shade is alabaster, which is the marble effect glass. It is opaque so you shouldnt see the bulb through it.
Q7: Can this be used the other way up? Our shade broke on a wall light that hangs down.
A7: I can't see any reason why the shade can't be used anyway up
