Q1: I am looking for reading light above a bed- switched with the cable being fed from the wall through the back of the base
in the pdf it looks like the cable is fed out through the side of the base ( the bottom when mounted on the wall) down a cable to a separate plug which would presumably would go to a separate socket in the wall which is not what i want.
can you confirm this suitable for a lead fed from the wall the back of the base ?

Texas single switched wall light finished in white.
This fitting is adjustable, and has a spot head with a width of 125mm, that is attached to a short chrome arm and a circular back plate with a width of 125mm, the on/off rocker switch is located on the back plate.
A class two double insulated fitting so no earth is required.
Requires 1 x LED E27 ES bulb that is not included.
This light comes with 1800mm of cable and a plug, this can be removed to wire into the mains.
