A1: The LEDs are built in and give roughly 25w to 30w light output when compared to standard incandescent bulbs. The lights comes out of the sides of the clear section as well as the front, so does give a spread of light. The clear section can be unscrewed and removed to gain access to the LED board, but this is screwed in place and the wires soldered, so replacing the LED is not a simple job.
