Compact Fluorescent Lamps

Light Source

The term Compact Fluorescent Lamps is often abbreviated to CFL. Compact in size and most have an electronic ballast as an integral part of the lamp, meaning they are often an ideal and direct replacement for the old style incandescent light bulbs.

Many applications are suited to use of Compact Fluorescent Lamps, facilitated by the wide range of sizes and shapes that are available, with the helix spiral CFL proving one of the most popular.

Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs

There are many different fitments for CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps) and here at The Lighting Superstore we stock most of them and we offer them at great prices too.

Gone are the days of long start up times and flicking Fluorescent bulbs. Modern CFLs have much more advanced electronic ballasts and a number of further improvements have ensured that CFLs are still a viable option in our homes today.

The range includes retrofit CFLs such as those with Edison screw and Bayonet caps but also those that are often referred to as dedicated Fluorescent fittings such as GX24d, G23 and 2G11 to name but a few.
